"As the Shadows Rise" was released in 1994 and was the first NAP release. It was strictly limited to 1000 copies (all including free sticker). It includes 3 tracks for the "Emperor" recording session. This recording is now also to be found on Spikefarm's "True Kings of Norway" CD. The 7"EP is today a highly rare cult release and has even been listed in Record Collector, along with the "Emperor" MLP and "Emperial Vinyl Presentation" Picture Disc Box-set.
